Post-Paddy
In that zombie travel zone now, aided by sleep deprivation and sitting in the Calgary airport. Sore and bruised but happy in where I'm coming from. Anticipating the buzzkill of reality to hit hard in the next couple days, between the usual sadness of leaving a Paddy Crean workshop and the added stressors that are waiting in ambush for me to return. As usual, the Paddy was both humbling and inspiring, bringing a new energy to pursue the things I want to pursue... just not in the ways that I really need to be pursuing them at the moment. Somehow doing business taxes, fixing up a house to rent or sell, and negotiating a major family move and student loans just aren't the inspirational creative drive that some of the less immediately necessary aspects of that career path might be.
Hoping I'll find something from VCU waiting for me in the mail when I get back, so I can get started on financial aid applications. Hoping the trash cans made it back and didn't wash down the hill in the snow melt. Hoping the kitties and house are okay. Hoping the family is doing well enough in their continued travel. Hoping lots of things, but those who hope will in all likelihood always lose out to those who actually get off their butts and take specific action.
...and on that note, I think I'll sign off and get ready to transition from one multi-hour sitting on my butt space to another. Should be getting home tonight.
